Asset management new
Each asset is represented by an asset card. In addition to the usual information on acquisition and production costs, depreciation type, term, etc., the asset card also contains all manual entries for this asset. The change in value of the asset is shown in tabular form.
Asset management - overview
You can find the overview of fixed assets via the menu item Finance > Fixed assets > Asset management, or alternatively under Finance > Reports > Accounting > Books > Asset ledger.
In asset management, the existing fixed assets are displayed in a table, with each line corresponding to a fixed asset.
Information such as account, cost center, APC date and more is provided for the fixed assets. The amount columns (APC, book value) show the historical data and are intended as a guide when selecting an asset and not as an evaluation. The table offers the usual Scopevisio functions for selecting specific groups of fixed assets.
There are five control elements at the bottom of the form, which are explained in more detail below. Some buttons are only active if you have selected exactly one fixed asset.
Add: Left-click to open an empty asset card to create a new asset.
Edit: Left-click to open the asset card of the selected asset. This takes you to the asset card of the asset.
Duplicate: To create a copy of a selected asset, click on this element. A new asset card opens, in which the account, the depreciation type and period, the APC amount and the book value are already pre-assigned.
Remove: If you want to delete an asset, select it in the table and click on this element. After a confirmation prompt, the asset is deleted.
Please note that deletion does not trigger an asset retirement transaction. Depreciation already carried out within a financial year is corrected by the depreciation run. However, the acquisition posting in the financial accounting is not affected.
Inventory card: Left-click to go directly to the individual inventory card.
