Who can set up a passkey?
Passkeys are currently available for every Scopevisio user. Passkeys can only be created on secured devices with the Chrome (Android or Apple devices) and Safari (Apple devices only) browsers.
How do passkeys differ from a password?
A passkey is a digital ID that is tied to a user account and a website or application. Passkeys allow users to securely authenticate themselves without having to enter a username or password or provide an additional authentication factor.
What happens if my device is lost or stolen?
If your device is lost or stolen, you can still log in to Scopevisio using your password or a one-time password. Your Scopevisio account cannot be accessed without unlocking your lost or stolen device. As an extra precaution, you can also log in to Scopevisio and remove the passkey from your account.
How do I remove my passkey from my account?
You can remove your passkey in the security settings in your account at https://appload.scopevisio.com/apps/public/login.html
User settings → Passkey settings
delete the corresponding passkey. However, this action does not remove the passkey from your device.
Which technology providers support passkeys?
Currently, passkeys for Scopevisio accounts are supported by Safari and Chrome web browsers on iOS and Windows.
Do I still have to enter a password for Scopevisio after creating a passkey?
Once you have created a Scopevisio passkey, you can use this as your main login method. However, you can still log in with your e-mail address and password.
What happens if my passkey fails?
You will receive an error message and will be asked to log in with an alternative login option.
What if I want to go back to my password?
You can always log in with your e-mail address and password as an alternative.
Does Scopevisio now have my biometric data if I use passkeys?
No, your biometric data is not shared with Scopevisio and never leaves your device.
