Email tracking, logo and unsubscribe link

When you send emails from Scopevisio, you want to insert a logo in the signature. This is also used for tracking: when the logo is downloaded, you know that the recipient has opened your email.

You can use the $Logo placeholder to insert your logo in outgoing emails.

  1. First save your logo in the desired size under Contacts > Companies as a profile picture in your own company.

  2. To insert the graphic into your standard e-mail text, open the text modules via Global > Master data > Languages and text modules > Manage text modules. Then double-click to open the email text you want to edit and design the email footer by inserting the placeholder in the desired position.

Email with tracking image

If you add your logo to emails that you use to send receipts and campaigns, you can track them using the embedded graphic. This means that you can see in the respective overview when and with which e-mail program the e-mails were opened. This option is particularly useful for outgoing invoices, campaigns, reminders and payment advice notes.

Select Global > System administration > Email and document management > Edit email tracking.

  1. Click on this button to save your logo or the tracking image that you want to display in the email in the desired size. You do this separately for outgoing invoices, campaigns, etc.

  2. You determine the position of the graphic in the selection list.

  3. If you want to position the image somewhere else, insert the placeholder $Tracking image at the desired position in the e-mail.

IP Blacklist

Further down in the same form, you can specify certain IPs that are excluded from tracking.

Insert graphic in email text

To insert the graphic into your standard e-mail text, open the text modules via Global > Master data > Languages and text modules > Manage text modules. Then double-click to open the email text you wish to edit and design the email signature by inserting the placeholder in the desired position.

Show follow-up

You can display various tracking columns in the offer, invoice or campaign overview, for example. You can access this option by right-clicking on the table header (e.g. the invoice overview) and selecting the Show columns command from the context menu.

In the illustration, the filter has been used to obtain the correct results.

When you open the respective form (or via the refresh button), the tracking is started and you can see whether your emails have been read.

Insert unsubscribe link for campaigns

Use the $unsubscribe link placeholder to implement a link in your email text that the recipient can use to unsubscribe from your campaigns.

Clicking on the link takes the recipient to a form where they can unsubscribe from the mailing list. As soon as the customer unsubscribes, the value of the Unsubscribed from campaign data field in the Communication business object in the contact details is set to Yes.

For future campaigns, this contact is now excluded from the distribution list as long as the value is set to Yes.
