Most banks provide account statements in MT940 or camt.53 format.
The MT940 file type has an end-of-life and is being replaced by camt.53. In the following, MT940 is synonymous with both file types. You can use this file import if your bank does not yet have a finAPI connection.

Load account statements

Under Finance > Banks > Account statements (MT940) you will find the form in which you can import account statement files of type MT940 or camt.53 via a button. The file can be dragged 'n' dropped onto the button.

  1. Check the account balance and use the link to open the bank account in the general ledger.

  2. Show or hide information with the right mouse button.

  3. Select an account movement to execute the button actions on it.

  4. Here you can switch from Edit posting to Edit in table form to display the posting table (see illustration below).

  5. You can post transactions directly from the account statement...

  6. ...and cancel the posting again

  7. Set transactions to inactive and show or hide them using the checkbox below. Or set inactive flows to active again.

Note: The flow marked in the illustration has been assigned by a rule: It already has an offsetting account and has been marked as postable.
