Bank statements
Most banks provide account statements in MT940 or camt.53 format.
The MT940 file type has an end-of-life and is being replaced by camt.53. In the following, MT940 is synonymous with both file types. You can use this file import if your bank does not yet have a finAPI connection.
Load account statements
Under Finance > Banks > Account statements (MT940) you will find the form in which you can import account statement files of type MT940 or camt.53 via a button. The file can be dragged 'n' dropped onto the button.
A system message tells you how many statements have been imported in which year.
The statements are listed. Select one and view its details:
Working with bank account statements
The bank statement details give you access to many options:
Check the account balance and use the link to open the bank account in the general ledger.
Show or hide information with the right mouse button.
Select an account movement to execute the button actions on it.
Here you can switch from Edit posting to Edit in table form to display the posting table (see illustration below).
You can post transactions directly from the account statement...
...and cancel the posting again
Set transactions to inactive and show or hide them using the checkbox below. Or set inactive flows to active again.
Posting rules and account statement rules are explained in the following article.
Note: The flow marked in the illustration has been assigned by a rule: It already has an offsetting account and has been marked as postable.
Selecting flows
You can select flows using the usual methods (select with the mouse or CTRL+click). The subsequent action then only affects these flows.
Unknown bank details
If you import an account statement from a bank that you have not yet created, this form appears.
Select Apply.
Enter a payment method (DTAUS or SEPA).
Enter a G/L account and a transit account for the new bank details.
The bank details are then created and the account statement is imported.
Account statements via CSV import/export
Via Further actions , it is optionally possible to load the account statements into Scopevisio via CSV import; you can also export your statements via CSV.
Please note that the formats may have to be adapted to each other: the CSV file with payments to be imported may have a different structure than the one specified in Scopevisio. Therefore, check the assignment of the columns before importing. In any case, you must import the IBAN (of the house bank), the bank code (of the house bank), the posting date and the posted amount as mandatory fields.
