ScanToScopevisio

With a Fujitsu ScanSnap iX100 or iX500 scanner, you can scan business cards, receipts and other documents directly into Scopevisio.

This saves a lot of time and effort when uploading incoming invoices or capturing business cards, for example.

With the small ScanToScopevisio application, you can make this new upload option work for you.

Once you have received the application, save it in a folder and start it by double-clicking to install it.

Installing programs

First, please install the ScanSnap software supplied with your scanner from the DVD.

Then install ScanToScopevisio by double-clicking on the file.

Saving documents to contacts

Scan a document. The window shown appears. You can scan another document directly.

When you are finished, select Finish scan.

On the next screen, you can choose whether you want to save the document to a contact, to your invoice receipt book (ReBu), to a project, to a task or to your DMS Teamwork.

Select your document and click on the desired option.

Here we choose ScanToContact as an example. Select the scanned document and choose ScanToContact. A window will open in which you can select or create a contact where you want to save the document.

If you are working with several companies, you can select the appropriate company beforehand using the Change company button.

Click on Send to save the document to the selected Scopevisio contact.

You can check this by opening the contact in Scopevisio and looking in the Teamwork documents business object.

Scanning into the invoice receipt book, Teamwork, a project or a task works in exactly the same way.

Scan business cards

Together with the ScanSnap software, a small application called CardMinder has also been installed. This reads and saves your scanned business cards as they are scanned.

Create a new database

It may be necessary to create a CardMinder database beforehand. Start CardMinder and select the program icon at the top left of the CardMinder screen to open the following menu. Select New database. An explorer window opens. Enter a name for the database and select OK.

Processing business cards

The CardMinder program opens with the screen shown below. The recognized card data is displayed in data lines below the business card display.

You may need to check and correct these, as not every template is recognized correctly, depending on the font, graphics and print quality.

Importing business cards into Scopevisio

Select the data lines to be saved (1) and select Output file (2).

We recommend vcf as the export format; this can be easily imported into other applications.

Save the output file in a folder of your choice.

Drag the saved business cards in vcf format from your storage folder to the Scopevisio title bar and drop them there. Your business card data is transferred to Scopevisio contact management without any data entry effort.
