System: Manage instance settings
Make the settings available to all employees in the instance. This import is particularly suitable for user settings that transfer the interface display.
This allows you to work with the same software and the same views, menus, etc. throughout your company. This helps you to introduce the software more quickly and standardize workflows.
Import instance settings
Use this option to provide your employees with user settings that only customize the interface of the required application.
Open Organization > Administration > System > Manage instance settings. Click on the Add button , assign a unique name in the following form and upload the file using the Upload button. Save the changes.
Click on the Back button, your file will now be displayed in the table. Your employees also have access to this file and can apply the saved settings to their own application using the Import button.
You can specify whether the uploaded file is to be treated as the default setting. This means that this setting is applied directly to newly invited users and newly created companies. This function is likely to play a minor role in day-to-day operations.
Use this import method if you want to make the views of the tables and business objects permanently available to other users. All users can use the Import button to reset to these standard views if the table views have been changed. However, if company settings are transferred that contain document layouts or rules for the document worklist, these are reloaded into the application by clicking on Import, which can lead to duplicates.
