Online-Banking
By online banking, we mean the exchange of data with a bank without having to manually export or import files. In the area of online banking, this includes transactions and balance information as well as initiated transfers.
With the Finance license and the Online Banking add-on, you can query account transactions via our payment service provider finAPI. The prerequisite for this is that you have the online banking access have been set up.
Via Finances > Banks > Online banking you can see all the banks set up, filtered by access type (1). This is usually finAPI, in older instances the data of access types that are no longer supported, such as FinTS/HBCI or the finleap Banking API, are also available.
Further information on each bank, such as the IBAN, but also the balance (2) and the date of the last data update, complete the respective line.
You can use the Set up automatic query button to automate the turnover query or edit the stored times.
With Transfer (4), you can trigger a payment for the relevant bank account - just as if you were entering the data in web banking. There does not need to be an open item or document in Scopevisio.
By double-clicking on a line or clicking on Account transactions (3), you can access the overview of the account transactions for the bank in question.
Display bank transactions
The Account transactions form filters the transactions to one year (1) and, if desired, also to months; adjust the period if required. The visibility of transactions depends on the checkboxes (2). You can filter according to three criteria:
An inactive turnover, is a turnover line that you do not want to post or cannot post. An example is 0.00 euro lines in the context of account settlement for "Free accounts".
An assigned turnover has not yet been posted, but can be posted in principle.
A posted transaction has been processed and journalized.
The transactions in the table are sorted by descending posting date. The sorting sequence can be adjusted by the user.
Editing and posting bank transactions
Select a line and click on Document processing. You can also double-click on the line.
If you need to address several personal accounts due to a collective transfer, select the Edit tabular option in the same multi-button, which allows you to carry out split postings. Select the line to be split, click on "Split lines" and adjust the person accounts, while the contra account remains unchanged. Make sure that the amounts are allocated correctly.
Double-clicking on a line or editing a document takes you to the "Edit bank movement" form. The contra account is the only mandatory field marked in yellow. Fill it out (1) and enter further information as required. Clearing is also possible here.
Clicking on one of the three buttons either opens the previous or next line of the account turnover table in this form or, just like Save (3), takes you back to the overview.
As soon as at least the contra account is set and a voucher text is available, the line can be posted (1). Post (even several lines at once) by clicking on the button of the same name (2).
If you want to speed up the process, check the box and then confirm with "Yes".
You can view the details of the booking(s) via the "Open booking log" notification (2).
Here you can see the booking log. The small link arrow takes you back to the overview of account transactions.
If you do not want to assign and post certain account transactions of an account (e.g. due to a change of your access), select the corresponding lines (1) and set them to inactive (2). In combination with the check mark for "Show inactive sales lines" (3), they are still visible but grayed out.
You can also hide finished lines for a better overview (4).
Work with rules to save time and effort! You can find details on this in the chapter "Manage posting rules"
