Accounting areas
Use accounting areas to assign your receipts, postings and cash documents to one of your branches or individual offices. The balance sheet, P&L and BWA reports available in Scopevisio can be filtered to the indicators, allowing you to create your own sub-reports for your branches.
The open item lists in Scopevisio can also be filtered for linked accounting areas if an indicator has been entered in the posting line of the subsidiary account. Further reporting options outside Scopevisio are available to you via data sources.
Activating the Invoicing groups function
The function has its own right that can be assigned to users individually. The right is deactivated for all users by default. Activate the right via System administration > User administration > Manage user profiles and rights > Authorization: Master data, Invoice area.
If you only want to assign this right to individual users, you can activate this right in a separate user profile and assign it specifically to individual users.
After assigning rights, users can access the menu item Invoicing groups under System menu > Manage accounting.
Activate accounting areas
Go to System menu > Manage accounting.
When you click on this item for the first time, you will be taken to a form via the Manage settings for invoicing groups link, where you can activate its use. Otherwise, you can also edit the settings at a later date if invoicing groups have already been created.
Activate the function using the drop-down menu and click on the back arrow. Note: The use of invoicing groups is optional, you can activate this as a mandatory field via the selection field.
You can now start setting up your invoicing groups.
Set up invoicing groups
You can now set up the first invoicing area using the Add button. Enter any number and a description and save the entries.
In the overview table, you can define which users are allowed to use the individual invoicing area numbers when entering a business transaction. You can also adjust several invoice areas using mass changes. Click on the arrow in the Authorizations column. In the following form, select Personal or User-defined under Authorization. By default, the authorization is public.
Personal: The company code created is only available to you.
User-defined: Assign an invoice code to a profile that you then assign to your employees via the user administration or that has already been assigned to the authorized employees. Alternatively, you can also select individual users who can access the invoicing area. The authorizations can be adjusted at any time. Save your changes using the diskette symbol.
Working with invoicing groups
Depending on the selected license, you have access to invoicing groups in the following forms and functions:
Cash entry, batch, dialog, recurring entry, banking screens, document details screen, dimensional mass change screen, incoming invoice split screen, document worklist posting screen, Kasse2GO, outgoing invoice and credit memo screen, basic asset data, import interfaces.
